Had some time on my hands and a White's PRL detector laying around my work shop, SO I decided to improvised. Took the box off the White's and mounted the AT PRO on the "S" rod. I made the stand from PVC and it can be taken off when water detecting. Added the foam for flotation and some tape around the handle. Very well balanced for me.
The dang control box floats.
It can be a pain in the neck sometimes 'cause it's always wanting too pop up out of the water(especially in the surf).
at least it don't sink.
I use one o'those "noodle" floaty things wrapped around a Garrett classifier(gold pan) for my floating sifter.
