Finally got a round to mounting my GT on a whites rod. The pinpoint button is a push on-push off design. It can be locked in to all metal or barely pushed just to reset the threshold and get rid of the iron buzz. I mounted the box 4 inches behind the arm cuff to counter balance the coil. Now if can just tame those cables.

Very nice. I need to find more gold before I attempt the pinpoint mod, but that looks like a sweet job. I'm sure the cables will be easy after all that.

Thanks, the pinpoint mod is really not a big deal. I did it mainly for hunting all metal and checking targets in disc. It's a pain to reach around and flip the all metal switch to check every target.

Nice. For those who want a push button rather than a switch to toggle, I listed two styles of push button at Radio Shack that will work fine with the pictorial/schematic I drew up. One will only switch modes while being held down. The other will stay in that mode until pushed again. I prefer a toggle hanging down like on a Whites. Other nice thing about that is that with it hanging upside down it's less prone to get dirt or mud in it. By simple action any dirt inside will fall out. Still looking for a rubber switch cover for my remote PP just to play it ultra safe, but I've got the military half boots on my GT from Dixie Detectors. Love those.
