Hit a soccer field for a short time with the trusty 250 and scrounged this tiny bit up. Don't know what the big brass thingamajig is but it says "HUBBELL" on it. Looks like it was hinged and had another equal part. Hope everybody else done better. Forgot the copper bracelet with turquoise heart.

The "Brass" Hubbell item is a cover for an outdoor electrical outlet, from the Hubbell electrical company.

Maybe it fell from space. Seems like the hood ornament from the Hubble Telescope. Better return it to NASA!

Probably so. I think about that when I find kid's rings. Not long ago I found a 14 KT gold baptismal ring. I figured some parents were sobbing big tears over that one.

Thanks. I could see where it was hinged to something. I wonder how it got out in the middle of nowhere far from any electrical outlets. One of the mysteries of detecting.
