My Mid-Day Finds

Nothing Spectacular But Nice Finds None The Less... A 1957 Wheatie, a spoon from the Hillman China Company, a gear of some type, a 1976 Dog Tag and a lot of junk targets too. Sorry ... the pictures a bit fuzzy.

Thanks Guys & Gals! I tried to find the Hillman Company, on the Internet, but they no longer exist. As near as I can figure, the spoon is from the late 30's or early 40's. The 'gear' looks to be part of a large pocket watch or small clock. Finding the dog tags is always cool and I won't turn down a wheatie, when it comes my way.

Hi Martin.....Wheaties are always good finds...for they aren't minted any longer and are made of copper..a metal that is worth something compared to zinc, aluminum and other corroded metals! I have a T-Shirt that I won years ago by sending this jingle into the company that makes the cereal, WHEATIES! I wrote and they printed this on my T-Shirt....."I eat my Wheaties before detecting for my coinies"can't remember exactly unless looking at the shirt...but close enough! Ma forgets too many things! Too small for me to wear now and I kind of ruined it while metal detecting, as I sweat easily, and my belt buckle rusted on to it! :sad: May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
