My new Bandido II uMax

Well, not new, but new to me. I purchased it on ebay, and it came yesterday. Today I took it to a local park, and the very first signal was a woman's small silver ring with a green stone. It was about 6" down in the ground. Later, I found part of a broken bracelet that was also silver. I really like this machine. I put the white 8" round coil that came with my Outlaw on it, and it goes plenty deep.

I got mine in last week and just got the new poles in.
Been busy with other detectors, but taking mine out for her maiden voyage today hopefully after work.
Sounds like a great first hunt!!
 
The funny thing is, I know that I have gone over that exact same spot with my MXT Pro and my VX3 when I had the VX3. Either I didn't get a signal, or it was one that I decided not to dig because of the information on the screen. It was about 3 feet in from the edge of a sidewalk that I have gone along several times before. It had to have been there, because it was about 6" down in the ground.
 
Coolest part about the tesoro is no screen to make you think too hard. Just beep, look at disc, decided to dig or not.

I don't know, I think that you will re-think this, there is a lot going on with that little sound, took me weeks to get my ears and brain calibrated with the units, I think you will see what I mean soon. It is worth the effort though.

Oh I agree. TheRe are subtle nuances to the tone and how it host and volume, etc. I just meant there isnt a screen with icons and numbers and depth readings etc.
 
With the older gen Tesoro's I really like the little pop that surrounds a tone. Lot's of information in it, something I haven't noticed on the newer units.
 
I just posted in another thread, but I'm gonna need more learning time on my bandido. The numbers on the disc threw me off. I know 7-8 on mine is a penny, but beyond that I'm lost. Dug so much trash trying.
Once j get the hang of it, I'm gonna love it. My unit has a very high tone like some modded vaq you send on youtube.
Not sure if that's normal or not because it says it has the same tone as my cibola, but it's not.
I know I'll love it, just a matter of not taking my better known detectors I guess. Maybe more bench and field testing with targets.
Great unit.
