Hello All,
I have been reading this forum for quite some time. I can say without a doubt that because of this forum I made my decision to buy the Omega. I have been detecting for a couple of months using an Ace 250 and I have been bit by the metal detecting bug good and hard. I detect about 20 hrs aweek and it has paid off. I am up to $192.37 in clad since Father's day. I have found some silver jewelry and silver coins. No gold so far. I felt that I had out grown the Ace 250. So when I decided to upgrade I wanted a detector that would give me more information than just a segment that says 5c. My nickel to quarter, dime and copper penny ratio is way off. There has to be $30.00 of nickels where I hunt to go back and find. I think the Omega will be able to help me with that. I mostly hunt for coins but I live in the middle of Civil War area. Maybe when the bugs go home for the winter I will hit the woods and try some relic hunting. My Omega came in the mail today and I was expecting only the 10" concentric coil. After all that is what I paid for. Well I opened the box and to my surprise there was the 10" concentic coil in there and the 11" DD. Well I must say that I am a happy camper. I look forward to interacting with ya'll and learning all that I can from you.

Welcome aboard...........and best of success with the Omega.
If you want to kick start your learning (if you haven't already done this), use the Search function. Type in Omega.....select exact phrase, by clicking drop-down arrow, then select all-dates, by clicking drop-down arrow. Then click the Search icon. And you will have ton's of Omega info.

Thank you TerraDigger. I didn't know that. I REALLY appreciate that. I have been going through this forum the other way.

If you can find any way to get your hands on a 5 inch coil, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
