I couldn't be more satisfied with this machine / came with the 5 inch coil also.

About 2 years ago i buried a quarter in the back yard right at 11 inches and the detector i had at the time could not find it, so i thought the ground would settle and i would find it latter.
Well that never happened and i lost track of where i buried it exactly, all i new was approx. where i had buried it.

That all changed the other night when i popped the batteries into my new T2 / there was no doubt where it was again.

I took it out this weekend to a favorite old spot that has no new trash only old trash

Once i got there, i turned on the detector
set the discrim at 51
switched back and fourth from 3 tones and boost mode
ground phase at 66
hum level was at 1+
sensitivity at 75

My very first target was a ring!, i could not believe it!!

do you change the hum level in all-metal. i've never seen that listing i never hunt in all-metal. does it carry over to the disc. mode. thanks

That's a good question, i don't think it carries over into disc, but i like to set up both search modes in case i switch plus, i'm new to this machine so i will teak the settings until my ears hurt

i tried it today and there's no hum level in disc. just the noise you get when you hit the boost levels or have the sen. too high

Stopped after work and found a 1936 s Mercury dime in the same hole as a rifle casing
dug out the casing first and then rechecked tho hole

I could here both targets or at least i thought i could

ground phase 70
3 tones

I would say your disc is to high try 30 - 35 and dig the grunts that could be good iron or very deep relics coins ect
