Fed Ex just dropped off my repaired Omega and after checking it out in my back yard with the 11" DD coil over some five year buried coins, if I didn't know better, I would judge it to be hotter then it was originally. In my bone dry ground, it hits the 4, 5, and 6" on edge clad dimes with ease and unlike before, I can actually get a weak peep on my 9" slightly slanted silver dime. Not a peep I would normally dig, but I will be doing some practice swinging over it for any future peeps I might get on old coin producing spots. So far, so good, gals and guys. My settings for the brief testing were gb 74, disc1, sen 99 and 2b tones.

Although one never wants to have detector problems that result in the detector having to be sent back to the co. for repair(s), I still want to commend F T for seemingly getting the pin point pad repair done right, following through on everything they said they would and getting the detector back to me in a prompt and timely fashion. They received the detector on Wed. of last week and i got it back today. Which, probably includes weekend down time for them. Not to shabby, IMHO. I checked with Hector on this past Wed. and he actually apologized for the detector not yet being on the road back to me, but stated it would be tomorrow (Th) and they will next day Fed Ex to me and he would call me with the tracking number, of which, he did. And as mentioned, I got the Omega back today. Now to see what it will do in the wild. HH jim tn

That is great service. I am going to try the new G-2 I called the factory today and asked when the new machine would be released to the dealers and was told dealers should recieve them mid- September. That ain't long. The BEST multi-purpose machine ever made. Now that is a bold statement coming from a company that already has some pretty good machines out there.

Got in an hour and a half clad hunt after Church today with the Omega and it performed fine. Quite a bit of emi at this modern day school yard and ran with sen. of 50 to keep it quiet. Dug $3.27 in clad, mostly dimes and 4 quarters, but did dig 5 nickels. So far so good. Will give it a good work out on an old fairgrounds in a few days, but right now it is working fine. HH jim tn
