My old and new stool

Thing are a little slow here on the forum so heres something to look at.The small old stool was made from a tree that fell on my shop from a nor ester in 1985.The new one is made from a slice of white oak,I made some copper staples to stop it from checking anymore.Just started to do a old world wax finish, which is a way they put on wax way back be for brush on finishes. You put on a coat of wax every day for a week.Every week for a month.Every month for a year.Every year for live. This is day three, just started to fill pours,in a month it well look like glass.

Someone dropped a table off on a furniture repair guys doorstep.

Have you ever seen so many staples on one piece?
