Hi all,
Well the old story hunt your feet first was true today,I went to a very old and well used local park today knowing that the ground and been
leveled and altered a lot of times over the years.I got a nice steady tid of 24 and thinking it was another tear tab dug it up and "hey thats gold"
turns out it is a Russian ring with the hammer and sickle mark on the inside along with the numbers 583 and 03K,I understand the 583 equates
to 14kt. Oh boy was I happy,20 minutes latter I dug up my oldest coin yet, a 1857 one shilling in very good condition.
Found quite a few other coins including $1 and $2 along with some older pennys dated in the 1930's,I certainly will be back again.
