My Oldest yet .........and a ?

Found a 1914 wheat yesterday along the grass
curb in front of my house ... :surprised:
I was coming back from a lousy woods hunt
and just turned the GTI on for fun...
its not nearly as old as what many of
you have found but its My oldest !!!
Also oldest coin period...
Its too rough to even take a pic.My
jewler buddy used his lupe to read the date ..
I need on of those gizmos ...

Now for the ? ..Ive been running my harbor frt
3 lb tumbler on and off since friday.. gone thru 2 belts ..Is that
normal? im thinking of going to an auto parts store and
getting a good one........ the tension is fine on the belt

It does seem odd that you would go through that many belts so soon. Did you re-adjust the tension before it's first use? I did'nt have to do anything to mine, it said NOT to adjust the tension too tight, but to leave a bit of play. Good luck !
 
Hi, I have a HF tumbler as well. I use a rubber o-ring for the belt. Have used the same o-ring for over a year now and it shows no sign of wear.
 
WTG on that wheatie. 1914 ! Hang on to that puppy. Lot older n what I've ever found.
