My opinion of the explorer

I have been looking at the diffrent fourums and thear is one that stands out the most its the explorer fourum I see more old coins on this fourum than any other that says alot to me about minelabs detector it must be good I post on the tesoro forum and own a compadre but you guys blow me away

Most of these Explorer guys have tried lots of machines to be sure they own the machine that will find the old goodies more often.
The Explorer is that machine. Until I'm convinced otherwise I'll be using an Explorer here on out just like I have for the last 9 or 10 years. Several companies have been trying hard to beat it but it hasn't happened yet.

You do see a lot of old coinage finds here. After years a waiting I finally got myself a used Exp2 a few months ago and on the first day out with it I found a '46 WL Half. So far I'm still learning how to use it at a local park that has been pounded to death but the clad I can find with it is deeper then any other model I had. And I had a lot machines over the years. Your little Tesoro is a nice little unit too. Granted you wont get the depth with it that you will with a Explorer but you'll still find some keepers with it. As a matter of fact I've been thinking about trading in my ace 250 for a Tesoro unit.

Oh yeah, let the record (and finds) speak for themselves!!!----They "ain't perfect" but we'll put them up against anything going today.---I don't post pictures of our finds (the wife & I) because I don't have the equip. to do it.--But I've got a saying that I've said over & over for a LONG TIME--"I like Explorers because I can find stuff with them".---Over the years, I've tried MANY different brands & types of detectors and I'm not knocking any of them--I like SOME of them (including Tesoro).---It's just that over time, I've made more & better finds (consistently) with Explorers than any of the other machines I have ever used.-------Del

I think that when a person, he or she, finds their goals in the hobby, it doesn't come down to specific brand of detector. The detector discribed could be any top name brand that will do a good enough job in the dicriminating of trash and working good at finding deep coins and relics. Put a person that is well versed with this particular detector, and point them to some productive old sight, and watch out. Location is the key to finding the keepers..............Hombre
