General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

until i post the other emails,please read the email i posted from him on here, he states he doesn't give a @#$%^& about what i say about him on the net, now Ive tried to be a bit nice only stating IMHO just what he did do and followed up with his own emails here,please read whats coming tonight..he admits changing board and admits sending me a different machine but he gives his own reasons...and now this guy wants to threaten me?? wow ..
 
These are the latest emails between myself and Bill in regards to my excaliber getting switched, Please read and tell me why I'm at fault here as Bill claims I am....

You haven't even bothered to try to make anything right! I'll welcome any suit you bring to me. I just hope your ready too? Are you ? You really really need to read some of the forums responses ! Your own business record doesn't seem to be very good? I trusted you by what I was recommend to do and you let me down! Well it's Monday morning as I have things to do and spending my morning dealing with this issue is at the top of my list. You know how to contact me if you even care to resolve this.

I send you my machine my monies and you send me back a piece of junk take my monies and I'm at fault cause I cry faul and tell my story as to what happened, oh my wow .
All I can say is god will punish you for this in his own way, I'm in no way fearing your threats about suing me for telling the truth!
I would only hope that you would really think about this in a clear and radioman like way and resolve this issue.

I am not allowed to go on the forums it was my agreement with mine lab
when we were let go non of the ex employees are allowed we sign
seperation papers and that was one of earmarks hope you got proof
 
john...sue him in small claims court...

jurisdiction is in the county where you mailed the excall from...

minelab should provide you with serial numbers from the warranty card you sent in....

your original reciept...credit card bill....showing value....

and all these emails...and copies of all adverse posts pertaining to the customer satisfaction posted on the net...

sounds like a winner to me...

your honor...i sent him A in great condition....he returned B in crap condition...and gave me a hassle when i asked for an explanation...

your honor...i am simply after A's return or the value of A plus my legal costs....defendant can have B back as it is of little or nor value to me....

sounds like a winner to me...small claims less then 5k should cost you a hundred bucks or so...good luck..
 
I'm printing the latest out to read later over a smoke, but like I said I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that by mistake he sent the wrong machine to you. Still, that's his fault and so he's got to either send you your machine, send you a machine in as good of condition as yours was, or send you some money to make up for the worse condition the one he sent you was compared to the one you had. That seems pretty straight forward and fair to me.

Let's not assume he did anything on purpose or to rip you off and that it was an honest mistake, but IMO that still means it's his responsibility to correct it in a way that would satisfy you.

I hope when I read these latest emails you posted later that he's willing to make up the difference in some way. That's all I can say, as I think that would be fair.
 
hey critterhunter, here's the thing if you read his own emails he states he switched out the main PC board..as i stated he switched the main pod and battery pack out too, now I'm not sure why he did do this but it wasn't a mistake,he had to take my machine completely apart even removing a mod i had done for the disc/pp mode to be put onto the hand grip,I'm sure he knew exactly what he was doing,he wont even try to make things right all he states is he wants to sue me now,I'm going to wait until right after Christmas to see if he wants to resolve this matter,if not well ill have all the forms in from the various agencies then ill begin the process,small claims court,police actions and what ever else i may be able to do, I'm not going to sit idle on this,i got ripped off here and Ive already found out by others on this forum that they have had a similar incident..i find it really interesting that hes on eBay selling all kinds of detectors on line,Ive got a pretty good idea as to what i think hes doing,but I'm only gonna say something about my situation,I'm going to tell all..if he doesn't like it,all he has to do is to resolve this...then we all can move on..the balls in his court...
 
wow! this is all crazy. I am on your side John and this guy has got major issues. I hope you take him to court and win. Actually I hope he picks up the ball in his court and does the right thing saving himself and you more money in legal fees. At this point I feel he owes you a brand new detector right off the assembly line.

well no updates to report on this as of this post,id had hoped for a better posting update on this but he still refuses to even try to work this out,soo next week is a new year and this is at the top of my list for things to do,ill keep everyone posted as to what happens, i really appreciate all the support for me on this,i just want my original Excalibur back not this chewed up thing he sent to me...prices are going up in a few weeks from what I'm told,i just cant afford to spring for a new one all at once,i need to put one on lay away somewhere and make payments,anyone have any ideas who would do this for me?? please pm and let me know.
OK new years is coming i would hope all my friends here have a safe time while out and please please all be safe and come back to hunt for another year.

still no update on my excal ,i still have this chewed up excal and no word from bill branin to resolve this issue either..

update; still no updates to report,,ive been reading other posts with bad reports about bill branin..this guy needs to be found..
testing this machine out this week and its not working right either..go figure right??

you could always drop the irs a line im sure he dont declare all he makes doing his half---ed service
