Holy Guacamole Bat Man!! Peep this!! What!?!?! I still can't believe it, I thought I was having a good night when I found a fired/maybe chewed round ball. On my way back to my car I pull out a pull-tab, then I get a very similar signal, just a tad better, so I dug it...saying to myself "here's another pull-tab, why you diggin this?" Boooooyah!!! Gold baby, I knew it right away...scooped it up and high tailed it back to my car. Curiosity got the best of me and I wiped out the inside....14k, nice!!! I'm on cloud nine, this little spot I've been hunting all week has turned out to be a glory hole!! Two hours in the dark and cold well worth it!! I think I said the word "booooyah" a hundred times on my way home. My first solid gold find! Thanks for lookin, HH!

WTG bro !:clapping:

Make sure you fondle it at least 1000 times:super:.............lol.....fantastic find....really happy for you.

note for other hunters: found one just like it.........it ID'd as a penny......was going to pass it up.....1 inch deep........so folks.......do as JJAddict did.......dig the signals you think are worthless.

CONGRATULATIONS.........and what detector were you using???

Thank you!

Oh, I've done plenty of fondling with it :smoke: Have it on my finger now!

I have a Bounty Hunter Challenger, a model only sold at Bass Pro Shops I think. I think it's very similar to the Tracker IV. Real simple, two-tones, two knobs, one sensitivity and one for discrimination, no screen, just a strength of signal meter <---- worthless doesn't give any usable info. It comes with a 6" coil, but I use a 10" magnum coil now. I love the new coil, was disappointed at first with it, cause it doesn't detect any deeper. But, with the wider field of detection at depth, I don't have to overlap my swings as much and I pull out a lot more deeper finds. And when I switched I started pulling out way more CW bullets.

Pull-tabs give a mixed high and low tone, and the ring was mostly high tones with the occasional low tone, which is usually a pull-tab, but I've made lots of good finds with a similar signal, so I dig em, lot's of bullets ID that way. Out of the ground, it gives a solid high tone all the way.

Congrats on your first gold! I always dig tab signals and after finding the back of a 1800's gold pocket watch I dig cap signals too.

[size=large]congats on your find. that'll be on your mind from now on. like the song you can't let go of all day. good to here your happy with the new coil also.
