I'm throwing my two cents worth in, in response to an earlier post as to whether hunting jewelry or relics is more profitable. Here's one more thing to add to the list.
I'm not the best detectorist that ever swung a coil. Though, I have sold thousands of dollars worth of jewelry I found metal detecting. I know the thrill of finding wild gold. I have cases full of relics on display in the museum. Every time I find an artifact, even an old ox shoe, I stand there and ponder the hows, whys, when and wheres and it never gets old. I'm not blowing my own horn but I do find things that are spectular when I go metal detecting. Here's a video of some of them.
All the best, take care and HH
