My relic season has ended for Spring 2015

It was a great first season with my new friend the F19. Three nice silver pieces were added to my collection and over one hundred new buttons (several Militia) and several brass buckles. I tried extra coils on the 19 from a small 5" to the 11 DD and the Ultimate 13. I still believe the stock elliptical works the best. Regards

Don't you think in most instances the factory made specific tuned coil for the machine is best over all. Sure small coils get in better on trash areas, but even the small coils factory made seem to me to work better. The after market coils are in general coils not specked to any specific machine..but a range of detectors. They work, and some swear by them... but do they really work better..or is it mind set and mass postings that make all think their better.. For one most are larger.so they should get deeper and do..but do they really work better. Is there a trade off somewhere we don't see right away.......... Oh well..Just my thoughts... I'm most likely wrong...
