Too bad it was a Crabbing ship and not a lost ship of gold dabloons.

Went to work this morning. I still have no schedule. I called and no one knew if I was supposed to be there so I went in. Worked 2 hours and got some work done...then the boss said to go home. So got 2 hours in today.

So...since one of the hotels is on a beach, took the opportunity to detect it (and a couple of other sandy play areas).

Got 6 quarters, 3 nickels, 6 dimes, 15 Lincoln Pennies, a Canadian Penny, a toy boat, a whatchamacallit

and this $1 Luxor Gaming Token from Las Vegas, NV. (quarter for size comparison)

Was raining but gave the Minelab a go in the rain anyway. Had a good time...though I would have preferred to be working and making money instead of finding it. Thanks Father for the finds and the time to go detecting.

A little boat is better than no boat at all! And all the crab legs you can eat! :)

Congrats Pete on getting out detecting and nice finds! Hope you get to work more than two hours a day.....wouldn't make any money after paying for gas to go back and forth....unless you are in walking distance?? Good luck on getting out again, working full days and finding lots of neat goodies! :)

God Bless!

Was given Sunday off but worked a couple hours that night as I was called in to repair stuff...they couldn't reach the other maintenance guy who is supposed to be on call but has no phone

Was off Monday. Went in for a couple hours yesterday only to be told to go home..was told "we only need you guys here Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday.

That will kill me getting to church on Sunday. Because there is little activity going on during the week, I think that would be a great time to work on electrical lights (sockets and receptacles) that need replacing. I could shut down lights etc without affecting guests or worry about guest running into a ladder by exit doors...some lights near exit doors are not working because of bad sockets/wiring problems. Same with in the bar area. I don't need a drunken audience as I try to fix the lighting in there. They want carpets repaired but guess they want people walking on them as we are trying to fix things?

They have the expressway sign not working at night...so those on the expressway don't know from a distance we or McDonald's is just ahead. Our signs out front by the street and on the building need bulbs...easier to do when there isn't a lot of vehicle traffic since I'll have to be on a ladder up hight to replace bulbs. Even outside building lights are out and have been at least before I got there...with no parts to fix the problem or calling in a licensed electrician.

I see they finally bought some more light bulbs. They have air conditioners that need cleaning. Seems would be easier to do that when no one in beating on the doors looking for a room to sleep in.

Not trying to mean mouth anyone. Just seems common sense is lost somewhere.

On a better note: Happy Belated Birthday Betty. Sorry I missed it.

Blessings to you, Cliff and family

Apparently they are in the shape they're in because of the lack of common sense! Whoever is in charge needs to learn how to manage and run a business so there is no dangerous situations of dark areas or people working with guests coming and going! They must be wanting to go out of business from the sound of it and I think they will if they continue as their going! Must be very difficult working under mismanagement!!

Hope everything works out for you there and you receive a nice paycheck! Time will tell whether you will be continuing working depending on the paychecks and days you have to work! Tell God all about it and He will work it out for you but don't complain! Just worship, praise and glorify God for what you have in Jesus' precious holy name!

God Bless & Happy Hunting and prayers and best wishes for you, Sherry and Casey! Thank you for wishing me Happy B'day! :)
