My SLQ's found while MD'ng ~ 1918d, 1919, 1920

I have only found 3 SLQ's while out metal detecting and here they are. All of them were found out in the woods tucked away where luckily no other hunter passed their coil over them. I found the 1918d last year on my 1st hunt after my surgery, I just had my Gaul bladder removed a week earlier and I had stitches in 3 different spots. 1 on my belly button, 1 on my side just below my ribcage, then 1 on my side by like my kidney so it really hurt to bend down and dig and to make things worse the site was absolutely filled with roots and it started snowing. So I tried to dig it as fast as possible so I could stand up and as you can see I caught it 3 different places.I wanted to cry once I saw the red book value but I would rather have a scratched coin than no coin at all. The 2nd one I found 1920 this year like a month ago, its a sharp coin but the only real uneven ware is just on the date, weird??? Then lastly I just found my 1919 the other day. The dates were the first things to go on the Older Standing Liberty Quarters since this was the High Spot on the Coin. This was changed in 1925 with a recessed Date which made the Date last longer and the other features of the Quarter to wear first. Your doing great out in them woods and hope you continue finding some goodies like these on your next outing. Congrats and Good Luck and HH to you.

Very nice SL's. Now is the 1919 the one you found and posted by itself or is this another one?

The closest I ever came to finding a SL is this poor excuse of a coin.

was a 1900 quarter, did the same thing you did, nice long gash, made me sick but atleast we found them. HH
