It's for real! I got mine two weeks ago and the depth is incredible. Got a one-way signal and rechecked it backwards and forwards and the Ace identified it as a tab. Checke it anyway, and it WAS a tab at 5" measured. Turned the sensitivity down to NUMBER 2 and found a quarter at 5". I am now a full-time Garrett user because of this coil.Oakman404 said:7 inches on a quarter is great!![]()

Considering its only a 4 inch coil I'd say thats really good.

I don't know how to say this-but the Ace is completely transformed by the addition of the sniper coil. I wanted to sell mine but learned it's peculiarities. THEN, I got the sniper coil. DON'T WAIT. GET IT NOW! I have just started posting again after two weeks because I got mine and have been out almost every day with mine. I can hardly wait till the weather (rain) goes away and I can get to some of my better sites. I found $3 at the front door of a school that I had searched many times. Today I got a zinc penny signal and it was a 2" square piece of metal at 12" measured at sensitivity bar # 3! You will pay for it QUICKLY. I have taken the large coil completely off-probably for good. It is the BEST Garrett investment you can make. You will have a NEW metal detector. I now have the best metal detector I've had in my life out of nearly 100 detectors. I don't know what else to say.detectacon said:I am thinking about buying a sniper coil for the Ace 250 when I get it later down the road.
Is it worth the investment?
detectacon said:Sooo... I guess the sniper coil is a good thing to buy?
Just kidding. Thanks for the word on it, I wasn't sure if I should buy one or not.
I hope you make some nice finds oakman. (sorry I didn't mean to highjack your thread)
