My thoughts, on the DD coil on the Ace 350

I've been playing with the DD and 6.5 X 9 coil on my Ace 350, I don't have the AT Pro, but it being the same coil, It's probably the same way.

In the picture that I made, I want you to look at it and think about what I'm about to say. The DD is very sensitive, NO, that's a under statement, It's Extremely sensitive. I think Garrett hit a home run on this coil. :clapping:

I told you in one post how slow I could swing the Ace 350 , I am blown away by this, I mean you can slow down to a crawl. My conclusion is you have to slow way down on your swing for the DD to be effective.

if you swing with what I call a normal swing, I think you will be missing a lot of targets, There have been many targets in the field where I just get a blimp of a target go back and investigate the target and the Ace 350 would ID on two or three things around the target that I just got a blimp on, Many, Many Times I have done this and find a good target around trash targets.

One of the reasons the small coil is so effective in a trashy area is because you have slowed way down and what they call cherry picking. The coil is so small your able to find good targets around and between the trash. This is how the DD will work also if you give it a chance.

If your swinging to fast you will swing right past a good target. Slow down and let the DD be able to read between those targets. Give it a try I think you will be find it to be very rewarding. :detecting:
Ding, Ding, Ding That bell tone is going off again, I got to go dig some more. :clapping:

I was out with the AT Pro two days ago and was swinging slow and found 32 dimes. I am convinced if I was swinging fast that I would have missed some of them.

I have had the Ace 350 for about a month now and I love it. I am amazed at the depth the DD coil will reach. I also like the blade like search pattern.
