My Thoughts on Walkfit Platinum Orthotic Inserts

Some have stated that 'our postings' have gotten away from metal detecting and, to some extent, they may be right. However, many of us who spend a lot of time outdoors metal detecting often come home with sore back muscles, aching legs and or feet. Of course these aches and pains effects the length of time we spend in the field metal detecting. One product that has brought me more comfort, from back ache, leg or foot pain, is the Walkfit Platinum Orthotic Inserts. You've seen them advertised on TV and can be purchased @ a number of places but I found and purchased mine from 'Bed Bath & Beyond' for (if I remember correctly) about $20, which saved me the shipping cost associated with buying the product from the TV ad. Frankly I wouldn't be without them, as the product has brought me much needed relief from the aches and pains stated above. I've purchased and used a number of other products for years but never had gotten the relief I have received from the Walkfit Orthotic Inserts. That's my opinion and, as we all know, 'opinions are like fingers and toes' in that we all have them.

If that's one of those solid plastic ones or solid metal ones they don't work for me. I use arch supports that are totally padded. Plantars fasciatis that won't go away makes the hard ones impossible to wear. Believe me, I've tried lots of types of orthotics. Blue Cross bought me two different pair of prescription orthotics totalling $600 or so. I go to Walmart and get padded ones for about $7 or $8 and they do the job much better. For me it's not so much the perfect fit or the perfect design as much as it is lots of arch support and padding.

Hey Neal, I'm delighted with my Walkfit Platinum Orthotic Inserts and wouldn't give them up for love nor money but I'm sure they're not for everyone. For the average 'Joe', they'll help control back pain, leg pain, and foot pain. And, if you're more comfortable, you'll spend more time, in the field, metal detecting and just enjoying everyday life.
