Well my trusty ATPro was a star but not in salt water. I did a lot of research got a lot of advice, settled on the "Inferno". It's like a PI with discrimination of sorts. I had just retired about 15 years ago and the Dual fields and other Pi's were kicking my butt. Until I evened things up with at the Time Garrett's best salt water machine at the time maybe even now. I used it on deeper playing fields too. It sure liked gold, silver and ate quarters. Alas, after 5 years or so of heavy use it finally flooded out while I was wintering in Florida. Sent it to Garrett for a complete rehab. Came back like new. But while I was waiting for it to come back I found another love. Got home and sold it to a good home, while in perfect shape. And that's the way it was back than.

Low-high......high low audio tones. One more distinct for gold, the other more for silver or copper. Iron was always the wild card. I got plenty of gold with my Infinium. I hunted beaches, more or less hunted out with VLR machines. The Infinium depth was way more then the VLF machines at the time, so out popped a lot of rings and coins. It was originally designed to deal with the extremely high mineralzed matrix in some of Australia's better gold fields. Hey Dancer, you still have posts remainimg from 2014 in the Infinium site. https://www.findmall.com/forums/garrett-infinium-forum-classroom.45/
