My Two Blankedy BLANK-BLANK-BLANK SEs!!!

I was wondering if I was the only one that seen it like you do. I also learn something about the sensitivity and how to set it from what you explained.
Now when i see someone try to run 32 auto sensitivity I wonder why and how much stuff they miss as it may run smooth, but I have seen where it can not pick up a dime on top of the ground without touching it. These area is where it is trashy or highly mineralized, put in manual and it is very unstable, lower the sensitivity until it is stable and it will see the dime very good and even switching to semi auto at that time will see the dime well. Most of the time I have been telling people if you can run manual sensitivity at 20 manual and lower auto will work fine, but over 24 or so it seems like I will start losing depth if the area is a bit trashy.
Now correct me if I am wrong as all metal is iron mask at a -32, also all metal is cleared screen when not in iron mask, but the screen must be completely cleared. Now these are now both all metal. now switching between them will make no difference at all as both are true all metal. What is confusing many I feel is they feel they can set the iron mask, then get out of it to their disc patterns and think it is still using iron mask, I explain it to those around here as 2 different disc pattern you can switch between them, but only one is on at the same time. You can make a pattern if you want in the reg mode and you will get some nulling when using this mode and turning up the sensitivity you will have even more nulling. Now you can set your iron mask to 32 which is all metal so you will hear everything and use this to check your iffy signals you get in reg mode. I set mine for 31 so I null a little bit checking some signals and sometime run it in this setting too if not a lot of iron. One of my patterns I use has the whole top opened up to about only 1/4 inch black disc out on the left side so I will hear all the silver and copper coins mixed in with iron signals as I use the ferrous tone. Now I black out about a inch on both sides of the screen (looks like a big fat T that is open) where my rusty bottle caps and old tin cans will read and give me the high tone of a coin. Now when I get one of the iffy signals that may not repeat i will switch over to iron mask which is set at 31 and will hear and see what is going on and if there is trash around a good signal. When not real trashy I run the iron mask as it is at 31 so I hear most everything, when it it is trashier with pull tabs, rusty bottle caps and some other trash I can switch to the reg mode so I hear more nulling and if I get a iffy one I can switch back to iron mask and hear everything. Like I say the iron mask is just another mode you can adjust and switch back and forth if needed with the reg mode. Only the reg mode (iron mask off)can you build patterns if you want while in the iron mask on you can set the amount of iron you want to reject which 32 is all metal rejecting no iron at all 31 is very little and the lower the numbers the more iron you are rejecting.

Thank you for taking the time to respond! Your insight has helped tremendously!

Regarding ALL METAL; you are right. I was "ALMOST ALL METAL! :)
My thinking was, I was/and have always hunted with all disc. patterns cleared. I had IRON MASK @20/. This setup has worked well for me until recently. Now, I'm hunting totally "ALL METAL" (disc. cleared-IRON MASK OFF) It's incredible the depth I'm achieving out of Minelab's 8 inch coil. I can see, by the abundance of sounds just what my SE previously had to sort through. I'm also finding PIN POINT is spot on and the ID sysem is too. I've never been one to watch the screen but am now beginning to trust it. I can now see, to attempt useing a larger coil may open a new can of worms; I don't want to dig to China. Lol!

Thank you,
GRB
