My UK Trip Finds of note XP Deus

These are my finds for the week in the UK. Only the 11th century Dog Head pouring spout was found with the CTX on a very rainy morning. There are 3 4th century Romans one of which you can see the emperors face( love that one) two hammered silver 1300s one tiny gold fragment one 1879 silver a 1603 hammered copper two Rose Farthings 1500s one lead penny 1600s a rare tiny silver 1670 and we found handfuls of buttons every day. Two of my hunt mates hit gold coins from 50BC and one of them got a second gold coin from 175BC
Which was the oldest gold the club has ever got. Fantastic Trip. Long hours detecting. All four of us had Deus units and I had my CTX as well. The Deus units performed flawlessly

I very nice selection of finds, some nice silver hammered coins,as those silver coins can come in the foil range you have to dig all of those signals other wise you could loose some very stunning coins. What part of the UK did you detect ?? i am current on a saxon site over this weekend which was once a plague village.

Sounds like a couple of Celtic gold staters had been found by your mates, those are my favourites.

Well done and glad you enjoyed it

We dug everything above 35 everything. The hammered hit between 45-55. Thanks

Nice going Todd... i am hoping to go to UK this fall... i would like to talk to you about settings and such sometime soon. I will PM you in a bit.
Congrats...

Nicely done.. I have a buddy in Colchester as I write this. He will be there for two weeks more.. I am hoping that this will be the gold year for him..

Was there detecting the beginning of March for one week. No gold for me but did manage some hammered and romans...lots of greenies and some nice buttons and relics. Used the CTX for the entire hunt...Etrac stayed in the suitcase.

Congrats on the outstanding finds !

The 4 hammered I found there hit in the 70's in 18khz along with the majority of the lead I dug. The 2 romans in the 80s and the milled silvers were in the 90s. Dug plenty of foil in the 30s but did dig one chunk of gold plated thible as well in the 30s. The gold ring I found came up in the 70s as well. Still have nightmares of digging mountains of buttons. So many buttons argh.
