My Upgrades F-75 in FA and 1n - Video with Iron Masking

Well-known member
I made a cell phone Video today inside a baseball dug out that kept me out of the soft rain.
I found some natural targets in the ground and I took along my test board to show how a quarter and a nail react when laid side by side.
The coins in the video to my surprise were 1963 Canadian penny, and a 66 and 68 dimes. I did not think the ball field was that old. Might have to go back.
I am still having fun because the ground is not frozen yet. last year at this time we had 12" of snow.

Good video. I love using the 1n tones. Before my upgrade I pretty much only used all metal, so the in tones is a natural for me.

Good info. Thanks for sharing.

Coin Rescue,

Enjoyed your video, I noticed you were using your 5"DD coil. I was kind of wondering if you see any better separation in targets with the 5" over the 11"?

Exellent report and informative---I learned that masked coins give lower numbers. Another journal note. Thanks.

great video thank you

There are places that have so many metal objects in the ground it is hard to know if you are pinpointing on the most desirable target using the 11" coil. So in those spots you might dig up the wrong item.
I prefer the 5" because it is so light to swing. When I use the 11" I have to switch arms every half hour.
I think the 11" coil works better for unmasking a coin between two nails. Put down two nails 6" apart and place a quarter between them and see how that reacts.

Videos like yours where they show not only a hunt but give tips and demonstrate some instruction or operational information, are priceless! Thanks.
