to serve this month too! when i was little we lived in this really small house...my mom was in the bathroom doing her hair up in a beehive which i thought was hilarious for her to wear her hair that way so i decided to make fun of her for it.. she tells me " you better stop all that or God is going to get you" I was about 6 maybe 7..i replied.." God isnt going to get me" then i started to laugh. next thing i know I am off my feet flying back (Well i didnt really fly but my feet were of the ground like i got pushed) against the wall of the hall right outside of the bathroom then went the other way and ended up on the floor in my room...my mom says "SEE I TOLD YOU!" i can never forget that. i wasnt hurt in the least just shocked. my mom was to . true story though not many people believe me....it was a real eye opener.....not going to get into the story about when i was about 21 and i challenged God...Oh My...he listens to our prayers. i will never doubt that...He is Good. i am a hard learner but he is the best teacher...

I know you are telling the truth, dobbie, because I have seen plenty that He has done concerning me mostly good but He did withdraw His Spirit from me for a week when I disobeyed Him! If you have ever felt Him giving you a spanking, you sure will know it!
Your story reminded me of an email I have rec about a little girl who was wearing a brand-new dress and was walking to church! She was asking God to help her to not be late and kept saying this over and over....but all of a sudden she tripped and fell down and got her dress dirty, so she brushed her dress off as best you could and continued on saying: God help me not to be late but don't push me again!
God is merciful and gooooood and that I have no doubt about either! May He continually guide and bless you and yours!

Yes, dobbie, I thought so too and would come out of a child's mouth, as they will say anything, especially when on Art Linkletter's program: Kids Say The Darnest Things! I always enjoyed his programs! I'll tell another story that an old man told him on one of his shows! But I gotta go and finish getting supper ready.....we are going to try to mow later on.....If it cools off a little that is!
