Myrtle Beach area beach reports

ferdware

New member
Hello all,
I will be giving beach condition reports on Twitter. Yes I said Twitter. It's the easiest and quickest way to add and find them. I will be listed under "John.C" and MB_BeachReports. I live just two blocks from Garden City beach. Even if I'm not detecting I always check out the beach to keep track of sand movement and conditions. So I decided to open a Twitter account to announce these conditions to any one who wants to know. So if anyone plans on taking a beach trip or just want to keep up on the conditions for your next trip. Follow me on Twitter. I will try to cover all thebeaches when I can. I will also be adding pictures of the beach to give a better feel of what's occurring. I hope this helps a few people. If anyone has any questions or comments please list them to me through Twitter.
Thanks Feed.

Yeah, same here(and dislike twitter). But I understand diff strokes fer diff folks.

Just opened a twitter account now to figure out how this dorks. Coming down to MB in September , so I have time to figure it out. Thanks for info.

hey ferdware...you wouldn't run the bait and tackle in garden city would you?....I've seen that seashell (avatar) personally.....I took pics of it myself while it was in the shop...

That is very helpful info to me, I like going to the SC coast but sometimes it feels like a crap shoot as to the beach conditions. Thanks again!

I totally understand. I am nor a Twitter person myself, but found it was the quickest way to do it. It is extremely easy though.

That's cool. No I do not. That's Bobs shop. He is a friend of mine. I live real close to his shop so I usually stop by there on my way home from hunting to show him any good finds. He gave me permission to use the picture because I liked it so much.

Just set up an account so I can follow your post. Will be at Ocean Lakes for 8 days. The beach is a cruel mistress and I can use all the help I can get. Thanks JR

Got set up to follow your reports on Twitter. Just the couple of posts have been informative. I go to Surfside at least every other month so your info will be helpful. They had not replenished sand in front of Ocean Lakes when there of the 5th. Rain stopped my hunting. Going to split time in June between fishing on my boat and MDing. Wife is letting me loose almost the whole 8 days with the last 3 being the boys weekend. Cant wait.

Clad, I was at OL this past fall and told by locals that the beach had been replenished just 3 or 4 years ago.
