Need a couple bottle dated

Southwind

Well-known member
I went to a new site where construction has started that used to be the old part of town. I found several bottles laying among a lot of broken ones. Any idea on the dates for these? The clear bottle has a seam on the side that stops at the top before the stopper and stops before the bottom.

Thanks

The clear flask i would guesstamate 1890-1900 ish... the black glass appears as if could be quite a bit older... i cant tell if the bottom kick up has a pontil scar or not...if it does then your talking pre 1870s...

I agree with bootyhoundpa, The clear flask could go back as far as 1887, and the black glass has a nice applied lip, can you tell if it is a 3 pc mold ? It is at least 1880 ish or older. I would certainly try to get to the site with a potato rake and shovel if possible, looks promising. Have fun !!
