Need advice on a 2nd detector

I own a Deleon and I absolutely love it! However, sometimes I would like something with about half the power and dead-on pinpointing so I can clean trashy areas that might be worth the effort! Also a smaller search coil. I'm looking to detect a dime at about 4 or 5 inches, I don't care about discrimination as I'm going to dig everything up. Any advice would be welcome.

Have you given thought to getting a small coil for your Deleon and turn the sensitivity down. A Garrett Pro Pointer will give you the pinpointing.

Larry makes a good point. Tesoro makes 4", 5.75" and 7" coils that will work on your Deleon. I know, I have them all, in fact the 7" is on my DeLeon a good bit of the time and in trashy areas the 5.75" is very useful. The 4" is good in very heavy trash and for getting closer to metal objects, fences, playground equip etc. although it does require slowing down a lot and patience to get the most out of it. AND, it pinpoints on the dot.

I'd take a look at Teknetic's "Omega 8000". You'll get the depth you want with their 5" coil plus it's super fast. I like to use it for empty lots where I dig everything not iron.

That's about the most sound advice I have ever read.. variety of coils and a pinpointer. A win win situation.
