Need Excelerator D D coil feedback

Iam looking for a smaller coil for my safari and would appreciate some advice .. I have the eleven in. coil that came with the machine but seem to be hunting in ground with alot of trash ... Would like to hear from some of you vets ... ThankYou , Mick

There are many of us who feel there is no need to have a smaller coil for hunting in heavy trash because the 11" Pro coil seems to do just fine in such conditions. While there seems to be an equal amount of Safari owners who say the smaller coils are of a big help in such areas. Guess it just comes down to a matter of personal choice, if you think you have a need for a smaller coil, then you probably do. Because of the large amounts of small iron in my area, I may eventually try a 6x8" SEF coil just to see if the Pro coil has been missing anything. As it stands now I've been very happy with it.

Get the 6x8 sef, you can't go wrong... excellent in trash/iron seperates very well. I can't tell you too much about other smaller coils, but a smaller coil in trashy areas will make a difference.

I use 6X8 95 percent of time and I have no fear of any hunted out park I will come home with something.It may lose 1 inch over Pro Coil.It hunts so close to trash that I have to use coil sweep method to pinpoint because I cannot use pinpoint because of other trash being that close.I can only comment on X5 as other coil I used, I sold it within a month went back to 6X8.
