Need help deciding on a new coil.

I am thinking of upgrading the stock coil on my T2+. I have looked at several brands but i am leaning towards the Mars Tiger coil. I would like to have a little more depth but most important to me is the target separation. I have also looked at the Detech coils. Price wise they are pretty much the same. I also looked at the Mars Discovery coil but i'm not sure if i need to go that big for the type of MDing i do which is mostly relic hunting at old home sites, in the woods and sometimes at parks. If anyone has ever used a Mars coil i would love to hear some feedback on how it performed or if there is another coil that you would recommend.

I don't have a T2 but I do have a Fisher F19 (same as Teknetics G2+) and I do have a Tiger coil on it most of the time these days. The Tiger should get you slightly more depth in ground (1-2 inches) compared to the stock 11 DD coil. I can't perceive a difference in target separation between it and the 11 DD which is good considering the increased size of the Tiger. The Tiger is light and again, I don't perceive a real difference in weight between it and the 11 DD in the field. It balances well and pinpoints with precision. Mars says it does not need a coil cover and I never used one on mine. I had the Discovery for a little while. It is a tad deeper than the Tiger on the F19 but I didn't like how it changed the balance of the detector making it front heavy and not as easy to swing for extended hunting.

Thanks a lot for the info. I think i have decided on the Tiger.I am currently hunting an open field at a 1800s home site where a larger coil may be ok but i am usually in the woods and in iron infested locations where a large coil would be difficult to use. Most of all i do not want to lose any target separation.
.Not a lot of people have the Tiger coil so I wanted to get as much information as possible before purchasing.

NEL Tornado or Thunder coil gets my vote.

I'd go with the CORS Strike or NEL Tornado.
