Need help identifying this gun(lots of pics)

Southwind

Well-known member
My Nephew bought an old house and found this gun in the attic. Almost no markings other than J. W. C. on each side of the barrel near the cylinder and a stamp that looks like a star and the letters PK on the cylinder. Trying to find out what it is and any help from you gun experts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

can you do a better picture of the proof mark, it looks like a star with PK below it. and any of the pictures that you might want to take over with a little more light

If there is no markings like Remington, it may be a Confederate manufacture......MO

the star was used as a Russian proof. the JWC I can't ID, it is a different looking revolver and I would really like to see better pictures

I'm thinking that J.W.C. was the owners initials that he stamped on the gun ? cch
