looks the size of a coin but has square cut out in the middle. does not feel heavy enough to be a coin think it is copper. found in woods around an old 1800's house once was in Texas. Went there looking for silver. I found a bar of silver there once, and figured where there is one there is bound to be more. added some pic's of the silver, but no silver this time just this copper thing with chinese writing on it and some other old relics.
 
It is indeed a coin, looks like a Chinese 1 cash. Its hard to read the characters but go to this site and see if you can identify the emperor it was made under and the province it was made in.
