my computer porn crap that has invaded my computer from clicking on the wrong link about the Quattro. I was trying to get some info on the unofficial bbs site on the QUATTRO AND ACCIDENTALY clicked the wrong post, now it shows up on my main page when i boot my computer and it will pop up . I have tried everything to get this crap off butt no luck. I want it gone. Can anybody tell me how to get rid of it. It want delete are anything. HELP....

Just go into your display options and change your wallpaper and homepage.

Go to the link I'm providing below and download the free AdAware Personal Edition software. This is a program to get "Spyware" and other ad-generating software and web browser "hijacking" stuff off of your computer.
Download it, run the program, make sure you tell it to "Check for updates" and get the updates. The tell it to scan your computer. Whatever it finds, select to get rid of it all. This should take care of it.

Install SpyBot and be sure to dowmload updates (asked when installing)
Also after updating run the immunize function.
SpyBot when coupled with AdAware SE will get all but the nastiest spyware off your PC. Make sure you get the updates for AdAware before checking your unit
for problems.

Adware is good, but doesn't get all trojans! Also should have a popup stopper, also delete all cookies, make sure spyware did not change your home page, and also make sure in Control Panel-Add/Remove programs that it added no programs for the Porn site, and if you have dial up make sure you dial up numbers where not changed by the spyware. Good Luck! I usually reformat if people get big time problems with stuff like that!
 
If you are not having luck with ad-aware (a very good program) you might go to www.grisoft.com (copy and Paste), when you get to their site look on the left of the screen it has a free software button. hit this and scroll down to the bottom.
after you have downloaded the software and have it activated choose update and when the button appears hit internet.
Run "scan computer" after you have updated. It will get rid of the trojan horse that is causing your problem.

If you are using Windows XP a simple way to get rid of this stuff is to restore your computer to a past date before the problem started. You can find the restore feature in the Program/Accessories/System Tools from the start button.

that gets what adaware misses, after that go back into internet settings and re enter what you want for your homepage.
 
After I run the adaware, and all, I put on SpywareBlaster, it is also free and stops them, before they get on, I like that better. Have been running it for quite a while now, and it is working.
