Need Help Removing Explorer XS housing off of the battery compartment for a lightweight mod I'm planning

Is there an easy way , step by step to disassemble the explorer XS so I can make a lightweight setup kind of like the Xterra. I love my explorer and try as I may to find an overall best detector I keep coming back just kills my shoulder. Any help in a step by step manner even with photos if possible. Thanks again,
