Need help with Cannon PowerShot SD630 Digital camera

Hi ! :)

I’m trying to learn how to use a CANNON PowerShot SD630 Digital ELPH, 6.0 Mega Pixels camera with Zoom, Memory Card and Lithium rechargeables.

Could someone who is familiar with this camera help me get started by listing some simple basic steps for taking long distance scenery pictures ?

Thanks,
ToddB64

Try
Max resolution 2816x2112
Iso-- Auto or try 100
JPG quality- Super Fine
Shoot at F4.9
Auto Focus -- Center, maybe Contrast detect
Shutter speed, Shoot at 100- or as high as needed to stop any blur
Lens zoom at min 35mm setting

Then focus on something around 50-75% of the farthest thing in the distance. Theory is it will bring more closer items into focus while everything into infinity will be in focus.

Or just pick the scene mode

Hi Sven !

Thanks much for the information you posted in reply to my subject plea for help. :clapping:
That's the kind of "spring board" I needed to get me going with my Cannon PowerShot SD630.

Best Regards,
