I found this in my local church yard. They were doing some excavating and I dug this up before all the dirt got moved around. It has a screw hole in the end and it looks like it might be made of brass. Any ideas?? Thanks for looking!
 
Fence topper...goes on the tops of the fence posts???

That or drawer pull of some type?

I was thinking fence trim myself but did they use brass? Most old fences I've seen are all of the same material. Never saw a brass fence. But I'm no fence expert either.

Nice symmetry and ornate design to whatever it is. Cool relic.
 
It's a finial. There's probably a market for antique finials with that nice old patina. Someone has a Tiffany lamp with a missing finial, etc.
