If you can master a Exp 2 and Exp SE the learning curve on the F75 LTD will be a walk in the park IMHO. Like any detector it has one, but it's pretty straight forward for the most part (aside from notching perhaps, which I never use anyhow).
It does work well on coins and relics, and hits really well on gold jewelery (especially in boost mode), but I've never tried it for prospecting. I have read many positive comments on it's prospecting ability for a non-dedicated prospecting machine though. The beauty on the F75 LTD IMHO is the sweep speed is as fast or slow as you can handle it. The CPU is probably the fastest in the detecting industry and with it's 11" DD it can detect targets as fast as you can swing it, but on the flip side you're not required to swing it like a scythe (like you do on some machines), and I find that you can go Minelab slow while working in heavy trash to pick out and bring up good targets, so you get the best of both worlds on the swing speed. Customer service is adequate, but I personally do not believe their the best in the industry when it comes to customer service, they have a lot of room for improvement from my experience. While the F75 LTD isn't built like a tank (and isn't heavy like one either) it seems to be quite durable. While I don't beat mine, I don't baby it either, and it's holding up just fine so far with hundreds of hours on it. I'm confident that it'll be going strong after the 5 year warranty lapses.
Give it a try, with a strong resale value (and for good reason) you really have nothing to loose.
Good luck and HH,
Brian
