I found this yesterday at a local school and believe it is civil war related, but not sure.
I found one a few years ago and I believe someone told me it was a brass stud used on a sword hanger.
This is the third one I have found.. I have also found copper rivets, but this is much larger and appears to be cast or molded.
Can someone let me know if my assumption is correct or did it have some other use, or maybe not even civil war related.
