Hi, I found this in a small town in central Wisconsin. They were redoing a road and spreading out the dirt by the school. It was 4 to 5 inches deep. I think its lead and it measures .556'' in diameter. I don't know why it turned so white. Any help would be greatful. Thanks Steve
 
yep you have yourself a musket ball,reason its so white its cause its the oxidization of the lead in the ground.Nice find.
 
We find those in NJ at Revolutionary war camp sites.
