I hope someone can help me.
I can not seem to detect gold past 3 inches.
Also target read bounces from 15 to 27 to 34 when I hit gold.
Hope there is nothing wrong with it

All gold is different.
Size will matter, larger pieces can be detected deeper, and other things can come into play.
If you swing too fast that might cause that jumping.
On my F2 and I assume the F4 because they are so similar there is a correct speed to swing that will get you closer and much more stable numbers and signals.

I have no experience with that DD coil but plenty with the F2 and the concentrics and finding gold.
Every piece of gold I have found with that set up came in clean with no more than a 2 number jump if I centered the target under the coil and swung at the right speed.

Also if you are testing this indoors with lots of EMI or outside with EMI that could affect your depth.

Thanks for the info. I tried everything, different sizes of gold, still max depth 3 inches.
Sending it back to fisher

If this was air testing there may be a problem.
Here are some rings I tested indoors a while ago with the 8" coil.
Probably some EMI limiting the depth because I know that coil goes further in the ground, but still deeper than you are getting.
I am sure Fisher will take care of you.

If those are air test, you definitely have a problem, air test doesn't mean much but i can get 8-10 inches on an F4 with a 11 inch DD on any ring i test, gold or silver, if it's under warranty i would definitely send it in.
