Found this buckle at an old park. Its copper and its old, just not sure ..its 3 dimensional also. Pretty cool just wish I knew what it was!!

What a neat find, congrats.-----You might try posting it on the Whatzit Forum here on Findmall also.-----You might be able to find out more about the history, etc. on it to by doing that.---Just a thought!-------Del
 
Very cool find! I hope that someone can positively id this item. Steve may be on the right track from his posting - possibly an 18th or 19th century sword hanger. Maybe it can be attributed to a military group or school or possibly used for ceremonial reasons (possibly worn many years ago at a Fourth of July ceremony at the park you found it). Neat find that is full of history. HH
