i bought another excal for my kid,,,i figured since theres gonna be girls on the beach this might be an incentive for him,,,ive given up on him with relic hunting,,,im a fan of the anderson shafts,,,bought one when they first came out,,,,this latest one i just got doesnt have a cam lock for the lower shaft but a nylon bolt instead,,,,i see problems down the road with this,,,,you bust off the nylon bolt, sure the lower loop is still secure, but youll never get it out,,,i have the cam lock from the excals original shaft,,,is there a way to get this on the new anderson shaft,,,,im just not thrilled about this nylon bolt set up,,,,thanks

have had no problem with the nut, but like u, i could see a problem down the road ...................i do like the concept part and for now it works good.

i might switch out with s/s bolt...........maybe
