I don't think it is a coin. It's about the size of a half dollar. The date is 1899 and right above the date there is somekind of a building. ON the other side somekind of a house with a tower (possibly a church). I can't see everything so I use .... for the letters or words I can't see. It says:
Birth .............. the Declaration of Independence
