My next door neighbors are young, living together...The other night after work,I had a guy stop at my house that owns a gas station where I buy my gas...He showed me a check one or the other of them used to buy gas at his station, wanted to know where they lived,I looked at the name and address;pointed at the house and told him Right There... NEXT DOOR.He told me the check just didnt bounce, they wrote it on A CLOSED ACCOUNT...All you law-enforcment types out there:Isnt that a felony???The guy that came told me they knew what they were doing, the account had been closed-FOR MONTHS....He stopped by after he went to their door ;he said he was giving them a chance to come clean and make it right-They either werent home,or just wouldnt answer the door,So he said "Thats all right-Its up to the State Police now!!!" REAL BRIGHT-Buying something with a check against a closed account.........OOPSIE!!!

That's a big no no!

how many of these "small" things get prosecuted . There's so many bigger fish to fry. Here in Az the police dont answer calls about people who take off without paying for gas. But now most places have a pay first set up. Steve in so az
