UPS delivered my NEL Hunter coil a few days ago. Finally got a chance today to take it out for a spin.

I decided to test it out at an extremely trashy park in a specific 10 X 20 yard area where i found 4 or 5 silvers, bunch of clad and wheats a couple years ago. This small area has a trash density of at minimum 4 or 5 nails and/or pulltabs / sqr. foot and a maximum of too many to count.
Back that couple years ago i re-searched this area multiple times using both the stock Pro coil and my NEL Tornado coil trying to sqeeze more coins out. The last couple times i hunted in the area i found no coins and declared it hunted out.
Both the Pro and Tornado coils are round, was curious to see if the oval Hunter coil could squeeze out any more coins with maybe a little more depth than the Pro coil.
The setup i used was 4TF open screen, man.sens. 26, trash on, fast on, deep off.
The first thing i noticed is that the Hunter is extremely stable. Very few if any falses and there were damp leaves all over the place. The IDs were also in the correct ballparks.
In the couple hours out there here's what i found, nothing spectacular but just maybe there's no such thing as a 'hunted out' site.

The merc was stubborn tricky find at about 8". The iffy ID was all over the map especially ferrous hitting deep in the iron zone more often than not. Conduct only occassionally hit in the low to mid 40's. Tried wiggling around where i thought the coin would be but it was tough going. After a bunch of wiggles, finally ended up with pinpoint i was satisfied with. Then i decided to see if there was any solid iron hits around. Yep a solid iron target nearby the pinpoint. OK should i dig the iron first and re-sweep or dig first where i think a coin might be? Decided to dig the pinpointed area first and out popped the merc. Then just for kicks, decided to dig the iron target.
It was a large corroded nail a couple inches from the merc with its point directly pointed at the coin. Thats the left most nail in the junk picture below.
The two wheats were similar struggles. The shallower nickel, copper penny and the two zinc pennys were a little easier.
