NEL Hunter

I was just wondering if anyone has tried the Hunter coil on their Omega or T2?

I have one on the T2SE. So far so good. I dug more CW bullets in a hard hit spot. Ran it over some scraped spots I had made using the stock coil, getting scratchy signals, but didn't dig. These turned out to be bullets also. I was hunting under power lines at the time. The NEL ran smooth and the signals were good. All the bullets I dug there were no deeper than 8 inches. I like this coil.

How does the weight of the NEL Hunter compare to the stock 11 inch DD coil?

I put the NEL on another lower rod and it felt lighter than the stock coil.

Which NEL coil? Hunter? Sharpshooter?

Can you tell any difference in performance? EMI? I know my new Sharpshooter coil handles EMI better than the stock does on my T2SE.

I would say it performance with handling EMI is good. The area I described in my previous post had power lines overhead. This is where I had dug my "scrapes" while using the NEL Hunter coil. I like it so far.

The NEL SharpShooter the weight is 350 Grams
The NEL Hunter the weight is 490 Grams
The NEL Tornado the weight is 590 Grams
I don`t know the weight of the stock 11" dd Teknetics coil .

Thanks for the info guys. May have to buy one and see if I like it better that the stock coil.

Are the weights above with or without coil covers?

Stock 11 DD Coil without coil cover 445 grams (15.7 oz)
