Does anyone know how this coil performs on a safari ? I was thinking of getting one.

You bet it does! I use one almost exclusively. Good target separation in trash, good depth too

I have this coil, but I am not as satisfied as I had hoped. It does have good depth and separation, but I have found it must be swept extremely slow., If I sweep at my normal speed, the signal is received long after the coil has actually passed over the target. Pinpointing is also seems to be slow. There seems to be a time lapse between hitting the pinpoint function and the actual pinpointing starting. Granted, I have only used this coil about 8-10 outings, and I may grow to love it. But I am considering going back to the stock coil just to compare and see if my complaints are valid.

I can weigh in on the CT 5x10; Its a good coil but other than being able to physically put it in some place that the stock coil wont go, I really don't see a difference between the 2.
