[size=large]In this photo I have sliced the side of the fish open. You can see the cellophane wrapped lead sinker up near the head of the fish.[/size]

[size=large]In this photo, I've tried to simulate what happened to the fishing lure you found. For whatever reason it had been damaged and the hook had been pulled through along with the lead sinker to the opposite end of the barbed hook, hence your hook sticking in the belly of a fish. And in the picture below is the hook with the cellophane wrapped lead sinker that I slid down to the barbed end of the hook. I hope this makes it crystal clear for you, as I hate to think of you losing sleep. Now you owe me 3 bucks.
