this buffalo nickel I found last fall was used in a experiment to see what NEVR-DULL will do or not do.
Here's the before pic:

And 7 full days later after being packed in the wadding. Sure doesn't look anything like the
nice new shiny coin next to it! Maybe it needs a full year? <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

Draw your own conclusions. I certainly have...that right there is B.S!

I dont know if that nickel will ever come to life again LOL but did you rub alot with the never dull leaving it in the can wont help much.Frank

You can't polish a corroded nickel, dude. <STRONG>"Packed in the wadding?"</STRONG> <FONT COLOR="#ff0000">What does that even mean?</FONT> The wadding is intended to polish metal with...you have to polish it and then you have to buff it with a clean soft cloth. If you use it on aluminum, brass, silver, or gold the results will be incredible. If you use it on a corroded rusted nickel, penny, or an old bullet you will get what you got...not much! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
There is NOTHING you can do with that nickel to make it better...electrolysis will ruin it, polish will ruin it...you might try a dremel and a wire wheel or maybe some WD-40.

the only thing i've found to help those nasty nickels is to tumble them.
and, in some cases it doesn't help much. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

Yep found the same even with the old brass tokens , left one in the wadding since that was posted,no its just less crappy, not bright. Alas, my crappy coins are still to be crappy, and as you said B.S.

What about Brasso? Or Easy Off Oven Cleaner? <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> LOL Next thing you'll be telling me Tidy Bowl will do the trick. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
I just use pure lemon juice and Arm and Hammer Baking soda for the green corroded Penny's. Then theres the old stand by Olive oil soak and a wooden toothpick. That works for me.
Thanks for all the Laughs.
Tom

There's another one..."left that in the wadding". What's with you guys? You don't <STRONG>leave it in the wadding</STRONG>, you use the wadding to <STRONG>polish</STRONG> the metal. If you take a can of Turtle Wax and leave it on the hood of your car and go away for an hour and come back, guess what? It still ain't waxed. <img src="/metal/html/yo.gif" border=0 width=31 height=15 alt=":yo">

<img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

Cut a slit in a fast-food ketchup packet...slip the nickel inside...take it out a few days later...rinse and enjoy.

I need some ketchup packets, that's what I need! I have a bunch of nasty Indians that are about to bring me some enjoyment! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

someone posted a shiny buffalo nickel he said he just found MD'ing. Some said B.S.
Then he said he used NEVR-DULL. People said I never got that same result or expressed some such extreme doubt. Then he said he "wadded coin up in the NEVR-DULL cotton-like cloth for a week... and presto! Nice shiny buffalo.
We had a can of brand new NEVR-DULL and performed an experiment as promised. I rubbed coin with cloth - nothing. I packed in cloth and left in can for a week - NOTHING!
Obviously I didn't believe what I was seeing or hearing in that post but I did test it out to make sure. The results were as expected.
It's official - it's bullcrap! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

Yeah, I did miss that one. Now I get it.
Stop hitting me! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

i too tested nevr-dull. after reading that guy's post and seeing the wonderful results that he got with his coin. my mother in law was telling us about her problem cleaning her dentures. while visting us, i decided to do her a favor and clean her dentures while she took a nap. nevr-dull cleaned those boogers up in no time. i must warn you guys out there with dirty dentures though, she complains about not being able to taste her food and my wife had to go out and buy her a spitoon. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
